Im not opposed to speed limiters. A semi is a massive weapon. True enough, I'm a career company driver, as I am used to running 65, but I'm trying to figure out why it's necessary for a truck to travel faster than 70, especially when heavily loaded.

I've started 2 threads and have several posts trying to wake drivers up and get them to fight this thing. It is rare for the FMCSA to reverse course once they have published notice to make a new rule and it is going to take a huge effort to get them to stop what they have started. With the ATA, the safety nazis and Teamsters backing the FMCSA we better get a lot of comments made on the FMCSA site, fordconvert, Dave_in_AZ and Bret1984 Thank this. -
Petitions and comments?
I remember ELDs, I wrote to my senator and left comments at FMCSA too, but to what avail?
I have no problems to sign this or that, make noise around that but somehow I feel that this is already a done deal...
Was there ever something similar that they had their mind set on and signing these petitions, calling senators changed anything?Rubber duck kw and Big_D409 Thank this. -
I'm late with the popcorn but I brought enough for everyone and this stuff.
No speed limitersVampire, fordconvert, Dave_in_AZ and 5 others Thank this. -
