Thursday marks a year my authority was granted. I had a high stress job and wanted out, and this was the best means possible given my background. And before anyone questions, I had 0-zilch-no idea about rates or even the actual truck driving side of the business. Clueless was I.
But, I bought this ole Jimmy from a farm auction in Chester, NE. Did a bit of fixing, bought a trailer, and went to work.
The Jimmy lasted until late January when it had a major issue in Idaho. Got it back home and reevaluated. Time for another truck.
Bought the 98 T600 in Virginia, and besides a transmission swap in the old Ruby Tuesday parking lot 9 days into running it, it been a gem.
Here's a few pics of the journey.
A bit of frame repair under the fifth wheel.
My first load, and first time pulling a loaded trailer (Big trailer). Load of fancy rock to Taos, NM
