drawbar combinations are my fav. over tractor+semi. i love 2+3 combination, which are very very rare these days. dont really like central axle trailers.

what do they get with this 2+1 setup?

here drawbar height is at center of chassis or in case of high awd trucks can be at lower edge of chassis rail to compensate height.

or like 40cm from road, this is for close coupling, in that case hook is located about 130 cm under truck and distance from truck and trailer can be 75cm

what benefits do you have from hooks located just underneath of chassis frame, as i can see this is very common in scandinavia.

for our north american friends, we always have automatic trailer hitch, scandinavia use little bit different one, our is easier to hook as it has big casted piece which will direct drawbar into jaw.

i have seen safety chain only on trailers in ireland, it is no requiered by law.

here drawbar, its attachments, trailer hook and crossmember always have to be certified, i notice that some of these parts looks bit questionable at your side.

In Holland,if they see that your drawbar isn't straight,.......................they call a mechanic with a torch who cuts it in pieces.(after they parked you out off the way)

    No, it is common sense.
Except blown tire, first thing that can go wrong in full trailer.

You have great trucks down there . However they need more wheelbase…..I know it’s about the length laws but would 12-24” more wheelbase really matter in the outback ? Legally speaking
