Yes, most would think its craziness however years ago when I joined the forum most still believe that it would be crazy to leave a alright paying job because of the Management harrassment etc. (Yet, 75% and slightly more..) still stay as O/o. I made a lot of connections and understand the lane im running. Im not new in trucking & believe if i can weather this chaotic storm I will definitely do great when things become better. One of my good friends got into trucking 2 years ago, worked for a Carrier for experience, bought a truck last year in April 2021 & is doing good.

You need a $25,000 reserve ALWAYS as an O/O. Engine goes boom, and no 25K and you are bankrupt.TooTiredToTalk Thanks this. -

Being an O/O means you don’t have a company for a boss
Everything else is business and if you don’t have the business side of the equation then you’re just 1 guy with a truck
Even the “two men and a truck” guys knew it needed more than just 1
I have some saws. Hammers. And a pencil
All I would need to do is take a test and can call myself a builder
I know the business side and could build a house most would be proud of but doubt I’d make enough $$ at it to call myself a builderRideandrepair Thanks this. -
