JDR says no escrow hold, but on contract the driver is liable for two thousand dollars
One hundred dollars fee for each warning and or vehicle maintenance, two hundred dollars fee for each log book violation, five hundred dollars fee for police ticket violations while driving, two hundred dollars for first out of service violation, four hundred dollars for second out of service violation, six hundred dollars fee for third violation and fired,
One hundred dollars late fee for every late deivered load, the list is long

On the bright side, at least they were straightforward. I’ve noticed lots of company will pay less and do things like safety and fuel ‘bonuses’ to make the difference, and then they’ll start taking those things away for every tiny mistake. Makes it easy for companies to take away hundreds of dollars in pay without scaring away drivers at orientation.

I've never signed a contract to work for any company. I don't understand how anyone would even consider signing something with all those fees. Vehicle maintenance fee? What the hell is that???

Gotta be L/P would be my guess. Appreciate the warning but I would never sign a contract like that, ever.

I know it, right? Not that I would ever do a L/P, but if I did, I would approach it the same way I would approach leasing a truck onto a company. That means a lot of questions answered and they would need to send me a copy of the contract I would be signing so I could go over it BEFORE I even left the house to go to their orientation. And that would not be negotiable.
Anyone that would sign a contract that includes those fines must really be desperate for a job.

Speedy356, mjd4277, Dennixx and 2 others Thank this.
