Hi everyone. I would love to get some feedback and advice on companies for someone just starting out with no experience. I would like to stay local if I can and prefer driving a dump truck or flatbed. I have my class a cdl license and have no experience, just completed the program. I do have experience working on the dock so I am familiar with driving a tow motor. Could you please offer some guidance on which companies are good to start with and stay somewhat local. I know one of the members on here is a book of knowledge on company’s. Thanks again.
I’m just starting out and could use some advice.

State highway department, city street departments, construction outfits, rock quarries, etc. all of those places are good for dump trucks. But depending on what part of the country you live in, the state jobs and the city jobs could require you salting and plowing in the winter time also.
