I was blown off the road with a empty. There was no wind advisory or storm warnings issued it was a light rain. I did all my safe training i was taught. Headlights on 4 ways on and 43 in a 55. They couldn't fire me but they ruled it my fault. I've been driving 6 months. It was a jack knife in a ditch. No one was injured and wasn't given a a ticket. They kept on hounding me so I basically had enough and said I'm done after they brought me back. Is there another company that I can check into?

Oh wow, luckily you weren’t hurt ???

Get the wind compass app, it’s really good, any wind gust over 35 can blow over an empty depending on the angle it hits you.

I’ve shut it down several times for wind, argued with a few dispatchers too. I didn’t care, it’s my butt not theirs if something happens.

    Where did this happen ???

    Were you ticketed ???

I got blown off the road last month right at about 6 months of driving as well, which was also ruled a preventable. Fortunately, did not jackknife and kept it upright in the grass, but did have to get winched out of the mud. I was hit with a gust of wind seemingly out of nowhere on a 2-lane road with little shoulder. The company was pretty good about it, and I wasn't fired. What was most annoying was that the safety guy I had to talk to didn't really believe it was wind. He didn't come out and say it directly, but he kept talking to me about the dangers of micro sleeps. I know what I felt and am absolutely certain it was not a micro sleep. I almost wished they had a driver facing camera to prove it.

Uniden has a small dual lens camera for about 50 USD.
Plus 12 USD for the SD card. Buy a fast Sandisk.
Install it. All video captured belongs to you, not the company.
You use them when needed. They loop for about 3h30mins then record over.
    You can thank me later.

Wind compass app for IPhone. Here’s a screenshot of mine.

    Free app.

    Incredibly accurate.
