Is it correct that a Pre Trip on a car is the same as a truck, just that the parts are alot smaller?

Obviously cars don’t have air brakes or brake chambers, but everything else is the same as of a truck right but just smaller?

Cars come with a bigger reservoir tank for the blinker fluid in an attempt to get more people to use them.

YouTube has some truck pre-trip videos.
I don't know which one is best, so maybe another driver on here can give you a recommendation.

40-50 years ago this was much more true than today. Suspensions are vastly different designs, as well as the steering mechanisms.

Back in the day, pretty much all vehicles used the same basic design, just scaled up or down depending on GVW and duty cycle.

People walk up to, unlock, get in and go.

There is no pre-trip with a car.
Or do you live in a different world?

NY2001, Bean Jr., CatchUp and 4 others Thank this.

Um... And 40-50 years ago (when I was a teenager) it was the same.

Back when I could actually drive tires and lights were a visual inspection. The other stuff was by sound or feel. You can do this to some degree in a CMV, but I took my job seriously and did a proper inspection.
