TIP:
Ozone Generator - to clean the air in your truck - let this thing
run for an hour and you got clean air and it smells great after.
you can find these on Amazon - the one I got is >
Enerzen Ozone Generator 11,000mg Industrial O3 Air Purifier Deodorizer Sterilizer (11,000mg - Black)
NOTE: The unit has a timer on it - sometimes I will use just 10 min.
I use this when I step out for a while - come back, and all good.

It doesn't smell great. It's smells faintly like the aftermath of a short circuit Eventually I felt a burning in my throat and my eyes were stinging. The air smells fresh and clean after a thunderstorm, not because of the ozone from the lightning but because the rain washed out lots of the particulate matter.
Numb, gentleroger and 86scotty Thank this. -
You are supposed to let it air out. That air it creates is bad. Mine had very strict instructions on that. I had same problem after not letting enough time pass.

I have detailed vehicles in the past, and yes, the ozone generator works but it's not a stand alone tool. The inside of the cab needs to be steam cleaned, top to bottom including the upholstery.
Every inch of the inside needs to be steamed, and then run the ozone generator for 3-4 hours with the windows cracked about 2 inches. It will smell like a new truck, even cigarette smoke gone and it won't come back.kranky1, Geekonthestreet, gentleroger and 2 others Thank this. -

Okay, I’m not here to police anyone, but given that my dentist goes nuts with ozone everything…
FDA Reminds Patients that Devices Claiming to Clean, Disinfect or Sanitize CPAP Machines Using Ozone Gas or UV Light Have Not Been FDA Authorized
Ozone Generators that are Sold as Air Cleaners | US EPA
“When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. Relatively low amounts of ozone can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath and, throat irritation. It may also worsen chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma as well as compromise the ability of the body to fight respiratory infections.”
I noticed the same thing at the dentist office that @tscottme experienced, along with a burning sensation in my lungs.
Just happened to see this post and given that I was helped so much in another thread, felt compelled to respond.
These things are anything but safe, but those who market and sell them claim that they are wonderful AND FDA + EPA approved.
They aren’t.
Currently looking for another dentist.homeskillet, Sirscrapntruckalot, tscottme and 1 other person Thank this.
