This Tesla semi has a 500 KWH battery pack, which would cost about $50 to charge at average retail electric prices. $50 to run around town all day doing P&D work, food service or beverage…..

Nah, no company is going to be interested in that….LOL!

Hope the trucks don’t eat tires like the cars do. 20-25,000 miles is all they get at close to $2k for all four.

another funny thing is I’ve had a handful of people that were looking into buying in to that debacle tell me they thought the use of the charging stations was FREE! Lol! Yeah. Like gas is.

You really could park at the "fuel" island and go take a shower.

Mega trucking co will be the first to adopt the electric frucks. (spelling is correct)

the charging infrastructure will be easier for megas, they can upgrade their terminals, may also be inclined to use solar power.

But this will affect the rate per mile in the future for rest of us, as the cost of running this frucks will be less.

the big shipper and brokers will take the less cost of running to determine the rate per mile.

but we are still looking at 10 to 15 years for electric era to completely dominate the market
