Company owner Erik Aguiluz read my Craigslist Ad and hired me to drive his truck and self dispatch.
The first couple of weeks were just fine although I was finding it difficult to find good paying freight.
We agreed that I would get to San Antonio,Texas, and haul chicken to Costco in Sumner Wa.
I made my delivery then found a load going to Moses Lake Wa. That way I would be positioned to load apples back to San Antonio. His broker never called me and eventually I was informed the broker was not returning his calls either. I found some eggs going to Everett Wa. I made my delivery and then parked it for the weekend because the dash was not working and I was directed to put it in the Freightliner shop on Monday. I did as directed and I was told it would be a three week wait. By now Erik was not answering his phone and so I contacted his brother. He told me to bring it to the yard and they would buy me a plane ticket home. They were having a run of bad luck as a their father ran into the back of car in a sandstorm in New Mexico, causing a 5 car pile up. Then the KW they just bought took a dump over the DEF system.
That coupled with problems Erik had in San Antonio getting unloaded and their dedicated freight taking a dump. I guess they were going to cut their losses. But at my expense. I ended up renting a large car and loaded all of my stuff and my dog into the car and paid my gas home. They assured me I would get my pay and return expenses. Here it is two weeks later and nobody is answering their phone. Now I have to chase my pay through the labor board. I hope this warning finds the eyes of any driver thinking about working for this company.
