When I was down there a couple weeks ago, they sent me a broker load picking up in Austin, liquor, and dropping in Richmond.

Think they deadheaded the other driver to Laredo.

My money says it’s someone looking for “contributions towards college” and doesn’t really care what truck they are in.

Finished my reset and got my pm done in WM then got a load to New Castle and dropped yesterday and a Gatorade load today to get me home. Hooked the Gatorade load and inspect everything and the left turn signal marker is out, black like it burned....got sent to Knight yard to get it fixed. Turns out there is a break in the wiring somewhere that has to be traced. Ill be waiting for a hot minute....Faster than Loves probably though. Never ceases to amaze me the drivers we got that hook and go.....

Seems to be an epidemic in this industry of lazy bums who simply refuse to do their jobs and just wanna leave it for the next person… I wish these companies would grow a spine and start doing something to these drivers and stop worrying about losing them

Coming across the new section of US35 I watched a Hirshbach truck turn and start heading down one of the tiny side roads. Bright yellow sign there with flashing lights on top that said the road was not suitable for tractor trailers. Thinking his GPS was throwing fits because it didn't recognize the new section and told him to turn down that road. Amazes me how many drivers blindly follow their GPS and ignore warning signs.....

Should be thankful it didn’t tell him to turn right in the middle of the first bridge, that would have been outstanding if he did.

I don’t travel that section as often as I used to but it sure is nice now that they completed that last section of US35 and the section at Beckley. Just need to add more parking in that whole area. Parked at Beckley last night and had to park across the tail end of several trailers there.

but at least the roads are nice.

    JoeyJunk Thanks this.

Apparently this happened on that same stretch of US35 today. (Not my pics, I'm reposting them from elsewhere.)
