The Cape Coral man’s response: “I was smoking my meth pipe.”
“We appreciate Mr. Calvo’s honest response to the officer’s question,” said Haines City Deputy Police Chief Loyd Stewart. “But using meth is illegal and could have cost someone their life.”
The 51-year-old was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest without violence and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. He was released on $500 bond, according to Polk County court records.Boondock and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -

This is what is wrong with the criminal justice system.
No telling what his punishment will ultimately be, probably probation, no jail time,
assuming he actually shows up for trial. And since there was no drug test, he keeps his CDL.
It is one thing to sit on your porch and do meth and fall off of it. I don't care what happens to him.
But when he takes a vehicle this large and misuses it to this degree. Serious jail time and a much larger bail.Boondock, drvrtech77, mjd4277 and 4 others Thank this. -

So much for keeping the “best of the best” on the road, as they said the new CDL’s would do back in the 90’s. Another $$ grab…..
Boondock, Rubber duck kw and drvrtech77 Thank this.
