I've tested AT&T and Verizon simultaneously when I was OTR in 2019 and Verizon would always edge a little better on signal strength than AT&T. Not by much so if you could save some money, AT&T was a close second. But the last several months of 2022, Verizon has been drastically becoming unusable. I talked to Verizon service reps each month since March, and they say they've been making improvements to the towers. My colleagues are all complaining they are suffering the same issues, dropping phone calls with customers on Verizon's network. A lot have said they've switched to AT&T. I picked up a line on AT&T last week to compare between Verizon. I suspect Verizon began removing the 3g coverage in my area of NC/TN i-26 corridor. With 5g being propped up, are drivers experiencing comparable service on AT&T and T-Mobile coverage. When 3g is removed, I think their will be heavy frustration in remote areas and we'll see a rebalance of power between the carriers. I used to be able to hike deep in the mountains with Verizon coverage on my old flip phone, but no more. I speed tested Verizon at 2mb/s download and AT&T at 30mb/s download over hotspot at same static location and I tested call quality along i-26 and i-81 from NC to VA while traveling to populated areas and it's ridiculous how Verizon has fallen off it's throne. Test conducted on S22 and iphone 6s on AT&T, S20 Note and S10+ on Verizon, both on the middle unlimited plans that have the 50gb data plans before throttle.

At&t, no money matters if you need service where you need service.

Test Verizon with a new phone that supports the new C band. Yes, last year Vzw had all kinds of issues, but this year with a new C band phone, I really don't have problems anymore

Not against VzWs, mind you, but they are outcast with their proprietary band. Have a tablet with them for ELD and things, nowhere near the connectivity of At&t. Coverage map is bigger though. My kid has TM, even that is better now.

I currently use a dual-SIM phone with plans on Verizon and T-Mobile. Between the two of them I do pretty well.
