Bottom falling out on pre-emission trucks?

I knew you and everybody else would appreciate that truck ..
For what it's worth that got sent to me at 6.am .. I was trying to catch a nap in the parking lot here at the sale barn before I load.. Now I can't sleep thinking about that truck and my arm is numb and I got blisters .. in a area I won't describe

Now, since you made that decision, I hope your lady has not yet packed her bags and you have an opportunity to reconcile. It’s tough when you have eat your own cooking all of the time.

 

She's knows Iam a tight SOB.. and would never pony up that kinda of money for a 359... she was testing the waters again. she likes to take a barometer reading of our relationship about 4 times year just to see where she stands..lol.
She doesn't understand why my truck is sitting in the shop stripped down and I driving my friends truck & not cozied up with her

 

That’s hard for em to get. That’s how I originally got paired with the truck I wrecked. It belonged to an older friend of mine he would let me drive it when he felt bad lol.

 

She doesn't think much of the idea of helping a friend out .. when I complain that I don't have time to do the things I want to do ..

 

If that truck is truly as advertised and if I were single I would seriously consider purchasing it, or try to negotiate down a little. Not many well taken care of 359’s around. Too many ended up scrapped or exported.

I was telling my wife that I was considering using a vacation day or two to travel over to AR to see if I could learn a little bit from @wore out. She couldn’t believe that I would want to go see and help out someone that I have only communicated with via this forum. She does not understand that you learn and help where you can.

 

Woreout and I shook hands for the first time out on the road, sometimes you just gotta make the time to converse 1on 1 with folks.

Wore is a top notch individual, to me he is a very personal friend….

I know I was born at night but it sure as hell wasn't last night...
So the condensed version of this worthless story is I called the professional rape artists Vander Haggs looking for eight lightly used 11:24.5 aluminum hub pilot rims After 20 mins on hold ...I finally get a answer.. Yea we can piece a set together for you we can get 3 from this store 2 from that store and a couple more from our store in Indian it will be 2090.00.. plus shipping and tax.. so then I go around with them about just ship them to your store in Des Moines I'll pick them up there .. So he says .. your still gona pay full rate shipping
The guy that polish my wheels charges me 60.00 to cut and polish a wheel & he is 60 miles from home so I got about another 300.00 in polishing 4 used rims.. I sit there and think about the hose job Vander Haggs is giving me ..
I do some looking around and I can buy brand new Alcoa rims for basically the same price as what Vander Haggs are trying to shove in me for used rims and then still have to piss around and get them polished
Then I remembered why I try my best to not deal with them

And with new wheels you don’t have to worry about hidden micro-fractures. I have never dealt with Vander Haags but from what I have heard they are about a last resort if you care to hold on to your cash.
