i am seeing alot of loads on the boards for inoperable equipment needing to be hauled.. the brokers say that i need to have a winch... now my observation is this would seem to be a complete pain in the ### type of load to haul.. then comes the question of how big of a winch are you gonna need and how in the hell do you load this equipment having to detach the neck on your trailer? if the winch is on your trailer how do you power it if the neck is detached? if its on the truck how do you load it on the trailer? so many questions about these type of loads. and if they are even worth the time and heartache that i can only imagine is involved. they seem to dissapear off the boards so somebody is hauling them. does any of you guys actually haul this stuff?

I’ve hauled em before, I’d rather have a wrecker load them. I don’t have a winch nor would invest in one

Plus what kind of damage is sliding it across the deck going to cause. I mean if it has wheels ok, but if not.....

I'd say either a Landoll type trailer or else you'd need a truck with a 30 ton hydraulic winch and a scissor neck float.
