Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

This company makes absolutely no sense. I got another small load from Henderson to Shafter for tomorrow. They have my fuel stop as Buttonwillow, CA. I stopped in Barstow for the night and re-requested a fuel solution, and it gave me 60 gal in Barstow, then Buttonwillow again. My Garmin says it's 145 miles from here to Shafter, but if I add Buttonwillow as the next stop, then back to Shafter, it's 197 miles. Adding 52 miles @ 6.8 mpg, at $7 a gallon...why not let me fill in Barstow...the cash pump price here is $0.10/gal cheaper here than Buttonwillow, so I can't imagine our discount is that much different between here and there. And if you add in the extra OOR miles, it is probably costing the company more to go over there.

I was offered 2 loads after I deliver in Shafter. 1st was a pharmaceutical load with the 200 mile requirement which I couldn't guarantee I could accomplish given the early delivery of this load and a late afternoon pick up of the next load, so they pulled it. Now I will pick up at 14:00 near Fresno that delivers at the ice cream plant in Covington, TN. A good 2100 mile run.

 

Did anyone here get their Peoplenet update that they warned us about? I didn't. I even tried a forced update and nothing appeared. I was curious as to what gets screwed up with this update (since it's an Android based tablet, updates usually fix 1 thing and screw up something else)
