How hard or difficult is it for a company OTR truck driver to get a load to & from Canada? Also, does an OTR truck driver need both a birth certificate & passport to get back into the U.S.A.?

I myself an not a truck driver. I am not able to pass a D.O.T. physical.

Had I been able to pass a D.O.T. physical, I would liked very much to have been an OTR truck driver driving all 48 states & Canada, possibly going into Alaska. I would have been more than happy to drive dry vans, reefers, tankers, & flatbeds, would not have made a difference to me. I also would not mind being out for weeks at a time.

I live in the Midwest, with the nearest relative & family member living 1,500 miles away from me.
I am single, no children, (actually checked to be sure), live in an apartment, (would make sure that rent was paid in advance), clean driving record since 2007, at my current job for 15 years, never been arrested or convicted of any crimes, (by the GRACE OF GOD).
SADLY & UNFORTUNATELY, both of my parents are deceased, along with all of my aunts & uncles. My days of eldercare responsibilities are behind me.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.

It's easy, passport card or passport going into Canada, vaccine proof on Arrive Can app.Bol and emanifest.Same coming back into the US.The hos change when you cross the border so you have to watch that,I'd go to Edmonton and take a 36 hour break, pick up the southbound load and head back to Houston. It was a lot more fun driving in Canada in the 80's.Small towns ,not a lot of traffic.Usaully heavy traffic now in the Calgary and Edmonton areas.
