The only positives with this company are pay percentage and weekends off. Weekends will be the best two days of the week and try not to bring work home with you. The safety director is one of the worst directors and human beings I have ever seen in 24 years. She doesn't look like a director or conduct herself as a director. She manages by intimidation and always has the last word. The dispatchers and the director are best friends, so if you make one angry, they'll all be angry with you. They will make life at work very uncomfortable. The director doesn't enforce company policy and makes excuses for not getting her work done. The dispatchers do not have creative minds and they make matters worse. One dispatcher is dumb as a box of rocks and the other is a bully. They aren't good communicators either. They schedule appointments that are not realistic and drivers have to suffer. Perron employs around 40 company drivers and only 5-6 of them are normal and hard working. They don't like to fuel tanks and leave trailers in a mess for the next driver. The lead mechanic is angry and lazy. Don't expect anything kind to come out of his mouth. I always hated to run over to the shop because of him. Perron would be much better if they could just clean house.

Yes, that's true, but the tough questions need to be asked.

They had it pretty good at Perron. I did everything I was supposed to, but they didn't address the ongoing problems. Drivers were terrible with post trips, which caused other drivers to find a shop to perform the repairs. The safety director liked to point fingers at shaggers, shippers, and receivers. How many customers do you know who intentionally sabotage a trailer to make the company look bad or create issues for the next driver that picks it up? They don't have time for that. Perron hauls food, so trailers need to be prepped and clean. There are no consequences and most are lazy.
