Requirements for Non-CDL Hotshot U.S to Canada ??

    Howdy !! I need to know exactly what I need to have in hand and previously registered upon arrival to the Canadian Border. For both a 26FT Box Truck and Hotshot Flatbed OR trailer all being UNDER 26,000lbs with no CDL ? Do I need to have a CDL to cross ? (Valid DOT card)

    We do not require CDL’s for those types of vehicles. If the box truck has air brakes then you need air brakes training.

    Customs have never asked to see my license going into Canada,class A CDL.
    But at Coutts there is a scale about 1/2 a mile past Canada customs that might want to see it.Ive only stopped there and got weighed,never red lighted and asked to park ,bring paperwork inside deals.
    You will need an emanifest, bol,passport card or FAST card to cross the border.Canada commercial vehicle insurance for your vehicle.Also Arrive CAN app with proof of vaccine.
    Coming back to America you'll need an ACE form,bol, for your load, ID card,vaccine card.
    US Customs wanted to see my CDL,I had yellow #7 placards on my load a few times.
