I have Orientation in the AM with Western Express, leaving for the hotel in a couple of hours (Fontana, CA). Wish me luck. Any last minute advice?

Last minute advice? Sure....
Do you ab-so-lute best....no matter what they throw at you....to stick it out with them.....for AT LEAST A YEAR.
Longer is of course, better still.
Western Express is truly a "second chance" carrier (it was created/designed for that), and....as such....you will likely meet some (let's just say) "interesting" people there.
A coworker of mine used to work there--& he filled me in on what it's like.
When you finally start driving--don't hit ANY-THING.
If (while backing up) you can't see, or you're just not quite sure--set the brakes, & then GET OUT AND LOOK ("GOAL").
When backing up in poorly lit, or dark places, I use LED flashlights (magnetic, & attached to the trailer) to illuminate my "target" area.
This sort of solution will save you from accidents/incidents...and the related, later problems/regrets.
And yes, stay away from alcoholic beverages during orientation.
