How do I override the automatic idle shutoff on a 2022 Kenworth?

Go to KW shop tell them to turn the perimeters to 0/turn off idle shutdown.

Or get a stick on acceleration pedal for now.

 

By selecting a better company pre employment.

 

I don’t know where the sensor is on those new ones, should have a temp range set, I thought.

Go get a motel, charge it back to company, tell them to pay or you’ll get a job without a pos truck..

 

Doesn't it have some kind of optimized idle mode ??? Or that it'll idle above certain temperatures??

 

Push your yellow valve in but leave the trailer breaks set. That's the only way we can idle ours.

 

Not sure on the new ones, but check the bottom of the drivers side mirror. The sensor should be on the bottom.

Take a hot hands hand warmer pouch, tape it over the sensor, it should heat up your outside temp gauge and let the truck idle.

Ours idle above 90 degrees or under 20 degrees without that though!

 

New truck , no APU , its stuck in.the supply chain , call a cab get a room or call Delta there ready when you are.

 

on kw we used to run with a cat in it just before the truck would shut down the idiot light above the winsheild will blink on and off think it was 5 times on the 5th blink it would shut it down but if you caught the light right befoe the 5th blink just push the clutch down to the floor back up that over rode the shut off good to idle as much as you can
