As said before - that's not fair or reasonable.

I've had Eastern European agents go out of their way to make things right and communicate well - like I said - the one agent that is pawning off CHR loads is up front on communications, but it's just not her freight. When I want double what CHR wants to pay, she don't have much swing.

OK. So - disclosure here - I'm a darned immigrant. Not that it makes me kinfolk to any other immigrants in this country.

What I see with the LS system, is there is a huge pool of agencies that apparently outsource to internet based "Agents" anywhere the internet reaches. Their main goal I would imagine, is to buy bread and potatoes and food for the goat. Sadly.

I VERY RARELY engage with them on the platform side, too much can go wrong before blast off - on the van side, I guess I could involve them.

Guess it's a lot about relationships. And not discarding one because of an accent, or perceived skin color. or whatever. I'm hardly one to judge.

Can't say the LS system is a better one than when I joined 7+ years ago now. My filter mesh has become tighter, tis all.

I just hauled a 13’8 no tarp load for CHR. I got to shipper and it’s tarped and it’s 13’11 wide..
So I had to order new permits, broker was upset that I charged $250 for no go on pilot car, $295 for extra permits, and $1000.00 for tarp fee. He also had to email me and customer service to the freight changes before I would haul the load.
So I’ll stand by my previous statement, find a direct shipper or take more Tylenol.

In the past when I needed broker freight to get home I would look at Landstar first and hauled a lot for them. Now their rates are some of the lowest. Right there with DSV.

Ironically, both are on my "Do Not Haul" list.

You got it bro. 10 years here and its still going on. Its not all milk n honey over here.. keep looking. And the big picture- is that its “trucking” so the next pasture may not be any better. I’m thinking niche market may be the better pasture- maybe

Yep, don’t forget 513 and the others that slip under the radar with a different area code

There’s some awesome agents. Like family - I’ve been to their families weddings, they’ve stayed at our house.

But the general cut and paste ones are trash.
