Moving from Washington to Arkansas next month. Anyone have experience with changing their IRP account? Wondering if theres a grace period for getting new plates or do i have to have them before operating with a new tax id number when we change address?

No one answered so ill post what WA and AR irp offices both told me in case someone else comes searching. Apportioned plates can continue to be used until they expire.

    Good to know.

I suspect that NJ would build some sort of 'speed bump' in there; they put a lock on the title while active in their IRP so you still need to remove that before obtaining an different state's title. Hapens all the time where a guy sells to another and can't understand why the guy cannot get a clear title.

    Rickp Thanks this.
