I did gas and asphalt for 5 years. Then I moved to LTL for 2 years. Now I'm in a day cab running 500 to 600 miles a day. I'm a big guy. I'm dealing with my thighs and butt being itchy and painful. I'm using over the counter medicine to help. I'm looking for new underwear or seat coverings that may help me. Please help with anything you can.
Staying comfortable while on the road in hot weather.

Gold Bond powder or a product called Anti-Monkey Butt Powder (not sarcasm) are the two best I've tried.Eowyn, TNSquire, austinmike and 8 others Thank this. -

Hey man, I’ll say I’m on the slim/athletic side, but do you wear compression shorts? My thighs rub together always… They help hold my stuff together and wick away moisture instead of let it pool up and get soggy. Long UA compression briefs is what I use.
Also in all seriousness, you say butt is itchy and painful, have you checked for a hemorrhoid? It’s a common issue in our profession and if you treat it properly and it goes away your life will change - spoken from experience lol.Speedy356, Rideandrepair, stuckinthemud and 3 others Thank this. -

I’m not an overweight fella but I’ll chime in and say what @Jed2009 snd @LtlAnonymous are saying is dead on. Dryness is key. Powder, a moisture wicking or breathable pair of undergarments, and a beaded seat cover are the trifecta of anti swamp butt.

Dude do the anti monkeybutt powder and apply once before shift and once after lunch. I’m a slim guy and swamp ### will make your life suck. Sitting down and being chafed by boxers is like using sandpaper as toilet paper at times.
another thing, scrap the thick blue jeans. Get some of the cheapest thinnest pants you can find. Or wear shorts if it’s allowed.Rideandrepair, stuckinthemud, Val_Caldera and 2 others Thank this. -
You could use vegetable oil. Soak your undies overnight and just pop them mfs on and glide son

Cotton is still King in underwear and light T shirts, most of them let your skin breathe while sitting on a seat cover with beads?
Rideandrepair, JoeyJunk, RockinChair and 2 others Thank this. -
Lol. Monkey butt powder is the trick. Got to get yourself healed up first dude. Cold shower and laying under a ceiling fan spread eagle helps. Once healed don't wait for the symptoms to arise. Keep yourself powdered down at the start of the day. Walking around bow legged sucks. Just have to be proactive.
Rideandrepair, JoeyJunk, stuckinthemud and 1 other person Thank this.
