Can someone please explain to me, why does CA have 55mph for trucks? Is there any legitimate sense to it? Or is it just California doing stupid California stuff?

I actually run 63-64 most of the time, unless supertrucker blows past me at 70, then I let him sniff out the cops, and I’ll wick it up to 65.
