That could easily have been a fatality.

Looks like he was hauling donkey, and though the police and reporters are being nice, seems to me he only hit the anchors split seconds before the intersection.

Easy lesson - I know it ties up time, but it’s a lot safer to run less than posted where traffic lights are involved, and drive like you’re expecting them to turn red in a flash.

I was watching a show once where they teach adults who have never driven a car how to do drive .

One person blew a light because it “suddenly turned red “

    the instructor had a cow.
“The lights don’t suddenly turn red , they ALWAYS turn red , that’s their job !”
“When a light is green , I assure you , it’s always ALWAYS going to turn red “

And it was dumb for him to continue on and turn around . If they cops had caught him before he got back to the scene he’d be charged with leaving. Hit and run etc
Hit and run with an injury , is a serious career ending charge.

Why not just pull over and walk back ?

also looked like the last car on lower deck was hanging off ?

Who are these people with blinders on not paying attention to what is coming through the intersection when they get the green to go!?! Always check and see who couldn't stop, didn't stop at the red, or just simply wasn't paying attention, then proceed with caution. Sure you might have the right of way, but you might end up right dead. Same goes for pedestrians who don't look before stepping off the sidewalk. It takes 2 seconds to look and make sure you're safe before proceeding. Definitely avoidable, if the driver of the car couldn't see the truck wasn't going to stop they seem like a larger hazard on the roads than the truck not being able to stop.

The cars were already proceeding on a green before the truck was even in the intersection.
