In my opinion mileage pay is better than hourly. If I converted my mileage rate into hourly it's dang near $40/hr. I turned down a dedicated run from Pittsburgh to Chicago at $33/hr because the run paid 7.25 hours, $478.50 per trip. At .625 cpm it's roughly $575. If I do 3 of those a week running by the mile then I'm making an extra $289.50. if you can keep the door closed and run the miles you'll make great money

I think you really, really, really need to reapply to MB right now dont wait if you can deal with the less then idea working/ life balance you will make good money .They call me every single freaking day ,they just called me back again .I really think you need to get out of that place you’re at now, there’s way better companies out there where you don’t work 7 days a week for $23 a hr and $1600 .they’re treating you as a slave .your best shot is probably now for getting into MB trust me .I’m not ready to leave Kriska i have it too good coming up to 4 weeks vacation And ot after 9 hrs .Dispatch and everyone else is so easy to get along with ,if im tired a certain day i go home at what ever time i want to and on my last day dispatch knows i like to finish a little earlier and says i can go home after 7 hrs if i want .I have a normal schedule sun-thurs and set start times and pretty much know when i’m done every shift especially now that dispatch after midnight is in siberia we tell them when we’re done .myself i kind of like no surprises like going to a new customer not knowing how to get there or which driveway out of three is for trucks.we do the same 5-8 places every night on night shift day shift is a sh$t show they go to crappy places .yes at times i get board and depressed at my pay checks vs what others claim to be making but i’m not killing myself and maxing out my 70 either .in my situation it’s better to look at the whole picture not just the $$$ .Your in a different spot get out while you can

Are all of the posters here aware that if you do not leave the province Provincial labor laws apply. You are entitled to overtime. I am not familiar with Ontario but OT usually starts at 8 hours. There may be other perks.

Provincial OTR (Regional Div.) only used to be 42h+OT at 1.5X.
Back in 2001 in QC. ON may be similar or maybe different.
    Provincial laws applied.

Otr drivers fall under Federal transportation workers laws. Aocal driver should have the same rights as any other Ontario worker

We get x1.5 after 10 hours and x2 after 12. If we work extra days it’s x1.5 after 40 and x2 after 48. Holidays pay x2 plus 10 hours for the holiday.

We used to get it after 8 but we gave it up for a 4 day work week. Some guys had to work 5 days to get 40 while other guys were getting 40 in 4 days. Now everyone only has to work 4 days for a guaranteed 10 hours a day.
