Anybody else have this problem? This truck is less than a year old. Ended my day to find a carton of tomato soup all over the floor of the sleeper. So want out of this truck.

    tscottme Thanks this.

is there some place around the side or top of the cabinet door to attach a bungee or shoe lace?

    JC1971 Thanks this.

Kenworth latches don't work very well. I've learned the sound of the refrigerator opening when I go around a corner and can start shutting it before it's all the way opened now.

    tscottme and JC1971 Thank this.

Yes the LT's where I work are all like this. All the spare ones have rolls of duct tape in them to save the driver a little aggravation

Check to see if the latch screws are loose, and the magnet on top.
Sometimes that little plate that the magnet connects to will be loose and turn over a bit. That could cause the latch to be misaligned.

I just got out of an LT, and some of those cabinets I had to slam shut to get then to close properly.
One of the many reasons I do not like International trucks.

    JC1971 Thanks this.

Bought some Velcro strips at Walmart. That should work for now.

This is exactly what I have done to both of my International 9900's and their cabinets. The latches do not stay closed and stuff just falls all over the floor of the sleeper. I got tired of it after 1 day and I have Velcro lined all the way around the cabinet doors and it has worked very well. One of my trucks has had the Velcro installed since March of 2018 and it holds just fine.

The shop asked if I had any duct tape with me at my first job when I called them about a trailer problem. I told them I did and had been using it to keep cabinet doors shut, the cb in place etc... and this was on a truck that was less than a year old.

And this is a $125,000 piece of equipment. Shoddy design and workmanship.
