In the show truck world there are tricks that can be done to a truck to make it appear longer without actually cutting or splicing to stretch a frame. Downsize sleeper or remove all together. Fuel tank size and shapes make huge difference in some cases. The more exposed rail without stuff hanging off it the longer it looks.
Uncle ordered My ‘67 351 new at 215’ wb with a 36” sleeper. That was pretty dang long back then for a hood to pull a 40’ and new just coming out 42’. This truck could not go east. He had a 352 coe for that task. After the laws were changed and 53’ wagons were gaining steam sometime in 1992 he stretched it to 230” and made it a day cab. Just that 15” extra made a difference but with the sleeper removed made it look like it is a few feet longer. Folks all the time think its a 250” because of that.Vampire, God prefers Diesels, Brettj3876 and 4 others Thank this. -

Friend once told me, there’s 2 things that will never get old, that’s a long truck, and some big old tittys.
