Is it just me or are young adults under the age of 25 just plain lazy?

Everything out of any government official's mouth the last few years has been nothing but BS. I don't even put stock in anything they say anymore. Just lies and BS.

Oh, right. I'm not a criminal and don't want to be a criminal so obviously I'm a Democrat.
Republicans, the party of criminals apparently.

Not that I disagree, but it's not going to happen. After all it was the parents and their attitude of giving the kid everything is why the kid feels entitled.

That as a solution is actually part of the problem. It misunderstands the economic reality of what happened from the 50s through today.

My grandfather bussed tables in chicago part time in the early 50s and that paid for his full time college housing, food etc, (with a summer full time bussing tables) he graduated in 4 years. No loans.

Thats just not possible these days.

My father put 20% down on his first house in the late 60s using his little 100-paper (think roughly 1 hr after or before school) paper route money of 3-4 years.

    Thats just not possible today

My oldest sister went to college in the early 90s and paid room and board + tuition out of state at a private college with a 3 month summer job.

This is simply not possible today.

Im hardly entitled and dont think i will get anything if my parents ever die, never expected it, still dont.

But i hardly think their generations owning multiple houses that are bought and paid for 20 years ago when they cost 35k and renting them out to their children and grandchildren at 1250$+ a month is "coddling." (Real example of my brother in law's parents)

It's possible. Nobody starts at the top. Niece and boyfriend, she just graduated, started a job at the bottom end of a company she wants to stay at.
    He is an apprentice mechanic.
They both worked hard and owe no student loans, saved and bought a fixer upper mobile a year and a half ago, cashing in on it now and with some small savings are already moving up into a small, yup, fixer upper house.
The key is hard work, and Not being afraid of it. The newly entitled have no clue how to work, or why they should. Most menial tasks are below them, mom and dad will take care of it anyway.
    That's the problem.
Look back thru this thread for my previous post with a direct cut and paste quote from a university student union president, about what students should be expected to do and not do. That's the problem.
I did so many crappy jobs when I was growing up, but I did them because I got paid. A lot of youth these days wont go near it. Babysitting is a stretch for them. Its pathetic.
