My conversation with ICE is always longer than 2 words. I always also include "Thank you for what you do, we truckers support you 100% even if our president doesn't." That always garners a smile and a "thank you" from the ICE guy.
I was stopped by DOT other day in Ohio..... im curious

You can say a big ## to anyone in the USA, walk up to any base commander and see if there are any repercussions for exercising your 1st amendment.. try that on a base commander that isn’t on your base as well.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Walk off post wearing civvies. You could say #### near whatever you want, as long as it's not classified #### or inciting violence or treason. You can peaceably assemble so long as you're not in uniform. You still have the same 4th amendment rights covering your vehicle as any other citizen so long as you're off post. If you have dependents living in base housing, they can refuse to consent to housing inspections and your CoC has to honor it, whereas no such protection exists for the barracks.
But tell me again about how I surrendered every last right and privilege I had the moment I enlisted, and didn't get them back until the day I ETS'd... -
Never did I say or imply that you gave up every amendment, I was very specific in which ones I, you, or we would give up.
Read a little slower next time and try to comprehend rather than assume. -
I don’t understand this whole “he stopped me in an unsafe location”. Did they throw spike strips out in front of you? Come up next to you and empty a handgun into your radiator? Just put you four ways on and, slow down to a reasonable speed, and continue to somewhere safer like an off ramp. I’m never going to stop on the side of the interstate for an inspection.
One Arkansas state cop loved to pull us over on the super load route in Arkansas. US 278 somewhere where there zero shoulder. I’m 19.5’ wide with 4 civilian escorts with a 4 million dollar airplane wing on a stretch flatbed. They wanted us to pull off into the grass, not a chance. I stoped right in the middle of my travel lane with my tires on the fog. shut the road down all so he could check our license and look at our permit. Same cop did that to multiple drivers always hauling the same load. Never did find anything but sure did cause a bunch of unnecessary traffic issues.Blue jeans, Itsbrokeagain, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this. -
I just had two Level 3 inspections in Ohio in June. Both random pull overs.
The first one I was going east on 33 just before Lancaster. I was doing 60 in a 70 zone.
The second one was on US 50 just across the WV border. That officer made it a point to tell me I did nothing wrong, it was just a random.
I passed them both. -
Well add two more random Level 3s for me in Ohio, both on US 23 South of Columbus. One was last Thurday and the other one yesterday, yes Sunday.
I was not speeding and was driving at a very relaxed pace. Both officers made it a point to tell me I did nothing wrong.
I passed them both, the one officer told me I had 'outstanding logs'.
Anyhow that makes 4 random Level 3s in Ohio for me since the last week of May.Siinman Thanks this. -
ProfessionalNoticer and Siinman Thank this.
-
I passed that one as well. -
Keep you seat and floorboard (passenger side) stacked up with so much stuff there is no place for the officer to sit.
ProfessionalNoticer Thanks this.
