Who pays more for teams r and l, estes or old dominion? I team drive with my wife trying to make as much as possible for 5-7 yrs and retire from trucking forever. My end goal is ups team but there not hiring in the Atlanta area for teams not that i can find anywhere. If you know more on this let me know. -

Anyways back to the topic at hand. Estes seems to be pretty fair they give out a lot of raises i hear every year sometimes multiple times per year thats really what everyone wants is more raises consistently that one says they some what care about there company and there profitable consistently so they must be doing something right. So your saying estes is more leniency and easy to get additional days off if need be? What kind of trucks to they give team driver s new trucks fully loaded with refrigerator, inverter, microwave, decent mattress? Do the team truck also go 70mph or a little faster? Do you have to wear uniforms? Man should i work for ketchup and mustard? a.k.a estes lol. Think team i can easily make 100-120k working at estes? Do they allows pets in team trucks? -

R&L on lower end. But you will end up with a bid run faster. About 117k each.
estes prolly more but you will see more East coast.
ODFL I used to talk to a guy in AZ every week. They do 6 on 2 off so your days off always change -
117k aint bad. I do hear r and l give quite a few raises as well so im sure eventually r and l will catch up or be close. Estes nor Od have inverters or refrigerator in there trucks so that wouldn't work for me.. we need a refrigerator we make our own food at home and bring it on the truck. Also need a inverter because we use a microwave to heat up our food as well.. also r and l trucks go 75mph so i can get home as quick as possible.. lol -
od trucks run slow as hell too 64-65mph so you have to work harder to drive the miles thats why they stay out 6 days.. r and l you can do the same miles in 5 days probably. The money is still great im only probably going to clear 68-75k here at fedex the miles for teams sucks to many contractors not enough freight. There dedicated lanes usually barely 5k-5400 miles on average very few of there runs have 5800-6k miles and if they do a contractor already owns that lane so you cant get it.. all there west coas lt freight is dedicated so i mainly stay on the east coast making it very hard to get the miles and money.. i know solo linehaul dont have any issues they will definitely make 86-110k a year at fedex solo but teaming is a different ball game with fedex. I think i made my decision r and l it is foe sure unless ups team job comes up sooner. My end goal is ups teams i need to start thinking about retirement.
I have an exit strategy so i will be good just using trucking as a foundation. It has changed my life tremendously but it has its pros and cons. I do enjoy trucking but the people who make the rules and operate these companies has taken the passion and motivation out of this job for me and is sucking the life and time out of me.. i want my life back i want to go back to gym get my health right.. i want to eat right i want better hygiene i want to shower everyday twice a day again we take these things for granted. I want to sleep in my own bed. The simple things i want back that trucking has taken away from all of us..Still undecided Thanks this.
