"Shop fees"

I've never been in a shop where it was not displayed. I suspect it was displayed in the shop you where at also. You just didn't pay attention.

Be a grown up. Put your Big boy pants on. The fee is not going anywhere.

Don't like it being charged. Learn to turn your own wrench.

Every thread you start is you crying over something. First it's people taking cheap loads. Then whining about rates and fuel. Now because shops are passing on a legit expense.

So as chicken little found out. The sky is still not falling.

 

Back over to the HEF forum I go I guess lol.

 

BUT, BUT ,If there really was a'' standard'' we wouldn't be having this discussion.

 

Just because it's standard doesn't mean it's moral or right.
And remember this thread wasn't about shop fees until the mechanics made it thus. It's about hidden fees that some shops put on calling them shop fees.

 

I’m still wondering what the total invoice was given the tax amount listed was over $17. If it was $65 for labor and $35 for the shop fee because he provided the part then that’s a 17% sales tax rate.

 

No way there's a 17% sales tax rate. Tennessee is #1 in the country state sales tax combined state + local just a hair under 10%. But no state income tax so, somewhat, makes up for it.
