Well I appreciate the heads up. You probably saved me from a really horrible experience. LOL

You did that jetset stuff? God, I ####ing hate that program.

"We take drivers from economically depressed areas and pay them a good wage for THEIR area in the hopes of undercutting and depressing the target area's local wage. Even with the PLANE TICKET it's cheaper than hiring a local guy for the local wage!"

    Deplorable.

I started off with Schneider as well. Did my time, went on to better, went on to even better, and then went on to even better than that. I don't have any issues with how Schneider trained me, but I don't exactly recommend them as a company anymore. Their training was what set them apart once upon a time. Now they're just another puppy mill subsidizing inept training schools.

Gary OC is nice and the busy van drivers make a killing. The van dedicated guys were grossing more than bulk when I left. Of course now I get enough miles for showers and exercise equipment so I really just miss the other drivers.

I was dedicated for Procter & gamble. Mostly drop and hook. Go go go. I made a pretty decent living for 2004-6.

Me too, 2002-06, I made a good living for the times and my first four years of this job were the absolute best. It’s still good, much better now monetarily speaking, but it’s just a job. The thrill is long gone.

OP, I really wish I had started in Bulk, the 900 or so bulk drivers Schneider employed 20 years ago were the absolute bee knees of Schneider. These guys were the late Don Schneider’s pride and joy. They ran good trucks and some of the oldest tanks still in use today were so shiney and pretty back then. I started pulling tanks in 2010 with a different company and have never looked back. Great review and well written.
