Apparently his previous jobs as a Starbucks Barista, or a shift manager at Popeyes allowed him the luxury of showering every day. Just for poops and giggles, I’d make him go a few days without one.

4am this morning backing into Molson in Denver I am told “Bro you are a little hyper for 4 am in the morning” That made me laugh.
I was up at 2:30 so we could leave at 3:15. Woke him up at 3 by turning on the cabin lights. He covered his eyes and moaned.
Don’t know how long he has been with me but for however mornings in a row he just wanted to push the brakes and go. Had to remind him about doing pretrip.
Same thing with showing him the dashboard dimmer.
So then I explain to him he really needs to start retaining the information He has been learning. He was to busy texting his gf the pictures of the Denver skyline to pay attention.
Only reason he is still with me is Greg is waiting till I get him home before booting him.
Until then I’m not giving up maybe something will click in that pea brain.

That's surprising, and sad. He sounds like he'd be a better fit at Swift.

When Jamie was training us he mentioned a few times how they'd decided it was easier to train good people to drive a truck than train truck drivers how to be good people (even though it didn't sound that harsh) we figured we must have passed some unspoken criteria and that it was easier to keep answering our questions that showed we didn't know how to drive a truck than the other. He gave us what we needed to get onto the next step.

First time I’ve been to Carlisle since Heartland bought Smith. By the looks of it Smith has taken over the terminal. Easily twice as many Smith trucks and trailers compared to Millis and Heartland combined.
Smith drivers so far seem to be enjoying the fact they have 10 times more terminals to park.
Smith driver said all he had to do to get a long nosed Pete was ask for it.

Millis should match that and give y'all the choice of a W9. They should at least give y'all some chrome. Hell I feel like I'm in a large car now just because I have a single chrome stack, chrome visor, and a chrome bumper.

    Nashville and MIT Thank this.
