I've run into many retired vets here like that and that's fine their preference but thats where we need a tier of planners that cater to different kind of runners... ohh you want to run short take you're time go to the diner and have under 2200 miles a week we have that extra day runs or short runs but for us proven runners they need to have top tier efficient running 3k minimum a week no bs what happened to winner winner chicken diner!? Of the real runners are run efficiently the company profits more by more freight moved and the drivers remain happy cause they're earning correctly I don't understand this bs... cleaning the boards I get it but we have different style of drivers... there should be planners dedicated to the runners that are proven communicate don't dick around and move sh8t no prob... sadly we don't and if the miles don't add up otr doesn't make sense

Found something out today from former dispatch who went back to driving... we have 4900 drivers not 5k, there are drivers that have notes on their profiles stating to not dispatch them to certain customers cause they've banned!!!??? Who the ## are they hiring and keeping around here? You won't get the professional drivers their miles that represent the company at customers no matter what but you keep knuckleheads around for numbers sake? Things really don't make sense over here... off to do a trailer move aka a way the company avoids paying short haul pay gotta call and have my little spare change cup out about this one plus being held hostage on a load over 4th that had me sit for 2 days... 150 a day doesn't cut it those are missed potential driving miles... so time to call and ask if the company can spare some change please... getting old

You analysis is accurate and Lincoln doesn't care. I drew that conclusion years ago.

Dropped my trailer and what you know...no empties at our yard. They do however have over 12 reefer trailers all locked out in the back.

Night dispatch simply tells me they are showing no trailers near me and to check back in the am...

    Here we go again :happy1:

After that 5 finger cluster #### looking for an empty last Friday, that was the last straw for me. I have already begun the process of moving on to a less chaotic atmosphere. As it stands now, this will be my final month with any Acklie company. Trucking is stressful enough as it is, let alone all the extra crap you have to deal with at this three ring gong show, and I only see it getting worse here. I won't let on what I am planning just yet...but it is going to be a much more relaxed atmosphere.

It sounds like things went downhill at Shaffer since I left at the end of the winter. While I was there I ran more miles then I could imagine. First month with the special AM you get at first,I put down over 15k miles. But she had access to the graviest of gravy loads. My last month I noticed myself requesting a lot of tcalls, and too much i81 action.

I think it’s funny that this thread and a few private messages with SSB convinced me to join the company. It worked out for my situation, and was an upgrade from Roehl transport. Anyways, if there’s a new company in the horizon for SSB it’ll make for an interesting read as always!
