Point being, you throw up the first/most expensive tire you can find to try to prove your point.

Actually I'm at a truck stop shop and asked how much for a steer tire, then went online to see if they were ripping off.

TQL called me at 10pm to offer me a cheap load to Florida. Can't make this stuff up.

I spent a few minutes messing with him.

What’s your revenue per mile and what are your costs per mile? “$3-4 per mile” is a vague statement without knowing the rest. We’re into July now so you should know your first 6 months of the year.

    Every week is different.
Some weeks I've do multiple oversize loads that raise my RPM beyond those rates.
If I get lured out west on a heavy tarp load my fuel costs go to the moon.
Some weeks I'll just do short loads around the house. Not too long ago I did a 30 mile load which is really abnormal.
There is nothing consistent on how I run.

6 months ago I was doing power only and rates were sky high, to factor that in is pointless. Costs have been rapidly increasing also.
    Things have changed so much.
What my costs are don't matter here because everybody will be different.

If you have access to a load board anybody can see what loads are paying.
I haven't been to the northeast in a while and looking and was surprised to see many loads posted for $3+ a mile leaving the Northeast.
    Florida still sucks though.
    West of i35 sucks.

Oversize and tarp loads can pay a lot because a lot of people don't want to do it.

I hate tarping but if it pays enough I'll do it.

Thinking about pulling my Conestoga off because I don't like rolling it open and closed...

Those are tempting but then I'd lose out on oversize loads.
