Hello guys, thanks for checking my post. I have 2017 Cascadia DD15 and got some problem with the leaky water pump, so I replaced the pump and the thermostat. Befote replacing it I had normal coolant temperature on the truck between 205-220f when the fan kicks...is that normal? It looks too high to me. The water pump is...I forgot how it was called, sorry, the electric one
I am wondering what could be the problem. Thank you guys.
DD15 Normal Coolant Temp 205-220F, is this normal?

Thanks for the reply Judge. It's weird, I watched few videos where they say is normal to have temperature going 220 but I don't think it is idling. Pulling heavy yes but idling is what bothers me. I did parked regen it goes same 205-220. I forget to mention that recently I was fixing dpf at the dealer and they did update on the computers, maybe that changes something in the settings

Yes, normal range for modern Detroits.
Diesel engines are more efficient at higher temperatures, so modern ones run hotter than the old ones did.spsauerland Thanks this. -

Mine runs bang on 90 Celsius, if it gets hot the fan kicks in exactly at 105 Celsius, I think this equates to 195 normal and 220 roughly.
