I like that area south of Minot by the dam. But there's one little town you go through, the speed limit is 25, that seems EXTRA creepy.
In fact they have signs posted about a curfew at 2000.

Did good at Walmart yesterday. They had "Peak" coolant for $14 and red high temperature grease for $3.60
Now you could get the Lucas red grease for about $7 if you like John Force's race car, and the $1 tube it comes in.InTooDeep, Oxbow, austinmike and 11 others Thank this. -

Scored the waterpump belt for the APU from TK as well.
Just went out and started it. Let it run for a few hours, make sure the batteries are charged. The 110's will kill them.
Topped off the coolant. Pre trip since we're leaving tomorrow. Blackie uses like no oil. I think about 20K since last service. The OM authorizes service at 30K.InTooDeep, Oxbow, austinmike and 11 others Thank this. -
No Fuel stop prior to that adventure?
Owner of the company I drove with 4 times in 20 years (local Company, 4 Tractors & Trailers, 3 26' straight trucks), used to drive one of his Road Combos to the "OH DANGIT I NEED FUEL NOW" point, like that picture, with a blinking RED light.
Us Drivers were told to "fuel whenever you see fit", so I fueled at either 1/2 tank showing or 700 - 1000 miles depending upon Load Weight and Elevation changes and never "flipped out".
Do what You need to do to secure your Future!

3/8 tank 96 miles to Hoods at Bois D Arc Mo 4.669.
just those two detours added 40 more miles.

OMG... Pulling wire!!!! Worst load I ever had to be associated with... 5 big spools of the stuff from a shipper near Coffeyville KS. Preloaded, so all we had to do was grab and go... Got it all the way to the loop around the north side of Columbus OH and I was dead asleep in the bunk when hubs started hollering at me... I stuck my head out all bleary "whuh???".. He's gesturing at the drivers side and says 'Did you notice that trailer looking like that before?!!".. Look out, and the front driver corner is tilted out where I can see almost all of it behind the cab fairings leaning out at about a 30 degree.
Long story short, it took Schneider almost a day to find someone in the City who could deal with unloading 4 of the 5 8K # spools and Crib that front one down better so it wouldn't go walkabout... They told me that the shipper had pinned that front brace with like 2 16# nails. Gawd.. What a mess.pete781693, Oxbow, LoSt_AgAiN and 8 others Thank this. -
It brings me great pleasure and joy to announce that the Traeger has been resuscitated back to life— baby backs are now scheduled for approximately 17:30
