I first stopped there in 1996 during the Antique Truck Jamboree. The old trucks on display were really cool.
As far as it being a TA, they are franchised by TA-Petro for their fuel operation, just like their other stops at Joplin and Oak Grove, Mo, and Kenly, Nc. They also own the Truck-o-mat truck washes and the Cat Scale company.
For food, the Checkered Flag Bar & Grill across the street in the Grammas Kitchen building is the better option. Great Fajitas.

JoeyJunk, Warrior Pump and 48Packard Thank this.

I go for the buffet. Its a shame the breakfast buffet is only on the weekends these days. I love to pile on a huge breakfast with plenty of coffee. For some reason it doesn't make me sleepy at all, but only if I eat breakfast as the huge meal. A big lunch or dinner puts me to sleep... but that huge breakfast can carry me through to the night when I get a bite and crash out.

    JoeyJunk Thanks this.
