I'm updating what I am looking for. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I have around 10 years OTR, one 'at fault' preventable accident in 2020.

I am ready to get back on the road after 2 years not driving.

Looking for Southeast Regional Solo Dry Van. I live 25 minutes SW of Atlanta in Newnan, Ga.

*No Driver Facing Cameras or Microphones
*All Driven Miles Paid, Loaded & Unloaded!
*No Routed Miles Being Different Than Paid Miles
    *No Forced Dispatch
    *Clean Truck (Allergies)
    *No Touch Freight
    *Layover & Detention Pay
    *APU
    *Refrigerator
*Inverter (or allow my personal inverter)
*No trying to force me into working in other regions

I have seen several companies that have SE Regional at home on weekends or home Sunday & Monday would be ideal but just throwing this in there.

    Any suggestions?

I can name a few companies, but you'll have to call for details on exactly what you want.

Werner is very strong running Home Depot in your area. Schneider somewhat.

It looks like I MAY be going with J&R Schugel. They have cams which I HATE but I need to get back on the road. I can change companies in 6 months or so to something better.

Anyone know how a "transition bonus" works?

They quoted me a cpm rate but the bonus hasn't been mentioned yet. Talked with them earlier today and they said everything is going smooth and I should hear back again Monday.

They haven't made a job offer so to speak yet but they're saying if all goes well I should be under my first load in a week.

Home weekends solo dry regional which is what I want but as I said, I will be leaving for a company that doesn't invade driver's privacy ASAP.

Well J&R Schugel doesn't seem to know what's going on. I was told today would be my first day, instead they have my application held up in safety since Monday. I told them about the 2020 accident and they said no problem, now this.

No from Averitt Express, JB Hunt & Werner as well.

Who has a terminal in the Metro Atlanta area that hires horrible drivers?!? Seriously.

    @ryevick --

It looks like you still could make the cut with USA Truck--& run regional with them.

Stay with them for 12 months, do a satisfactory record--& you qualify for their self-dispatch program--plan/pick your own loads, & run when & where you want (see pic)...

this would give you the freedom & flexibility of life as an owner-op--but with the security of being a company driver. To my knowledge--NO ONE ELSE out there is offering a pgm like this (as of this writing, anyway).
