I've only seen one and I've been around trucks for decades. I've seen more 8 speeds even

Dunno. I drove one for a few thousand miles and it functioned fine.

    Where did it go ?

We have some currently, most work just fine. My theory is, they remind too many of the days on the farm, where most medium duty trucks had a 5x2 transmission. I will take a Super 10 all day long over an auto-shift/automatic.

I just bought a K100 with a Super 10 in it, and I love it. Prior to finding this tractor, I had never even heard of the transmission and I’ve been in trucking for about seventeen years.

It and the 15 speed in cabovers like a Peterbilt 352 or 362 or Kenworth k100 seem to be pretty rare. The 8 and 9 speeds probably follow in rarity. Spicers(factory option) are in a lot of show trucks and I've seen them in working trucks; mostly pre-eighties stuff, but seen it in a newer dump truck once

I've only drove 8 and 9 and only in yard trucks

They're fine. Ya just have to be the tiniest bit smarter than the transmission, and you'll get along with it fine.
Mine is behind a 430hp detroit. I dont know how high of torque rating they ever made the super to take, but once engines started getting too hot for the current at the time model, and enough complaints came in from drivers that could'nt figure out how to shift it, they likely decided to drop the model. IMO.
