Would be great if all commercial vehicles in transport of goods of commerce. Along with the military vehicles were the only thing allowed on the Eisenhower Interstate System.

And regular cars and such were only allowed on local, county, state, and U.S. hiways. Wouldn't that be great? Wait wasn't it supposed to be like this?

Activists groups- “Trucks are just driving around doing nothing anyway. We don’t need them. I can can get what I want from the internet. It just magically appears on my porch from 1000’s of miles away within 24 hours.”

Would this be considered an act of terrorism in today's USA?

Remember when Ohio was 55 mph, and crossing out of Ohio was a relief in a sense? Most times anymore I’m running 65-68 no matter what state I’m in, unless it’s posted less of course…..

They don't remember the National 55 mph speed limit.
And the nightmare of leaving Salinas, headed to Hunts Point and just hoping the produce didn't rot before you got there.

Very possible. In the town I live in they just installed the first EV charging station. Wasn't 24 months ago it was a big council argument to remove the hitching posts downtown. Things have changed.

I was only in Ohio a handful of times when they were 55, but I had plenty of trips off the OR coast and out thru Bend and across the desert and I imagine the feeling was the same when I crossed into Idaho. Lol

They said compliance will be up to the motor carrier, so I wonder what the penalty structure will be. Like a slap on the wrist, then a fine, and eventually suspension of authority for non-compliance?
