What if it Snows?

Once in suthun Kookafornia, somewhere southeast of Lost Angels, fully clothed, I slept on a recliner Lawn Chair, ON a picnic Table, at a picnic campground, after consuming a copious quantity of alcoholic "beverages" and of course had NO "sleeping partner" as we were a small bunch of Dudes, not a bunch of small Dudes. . Gladly, no one saw a need to "play tricks" on the table top lawn chair dude, and no room for a sleeping partner because the Left and Right sides were one unit.
No way to "secure chair to table or person to chair", so the Earth pulling pressure worked well.

Awoke, still on the Chair, on the Table. It was a curiosity and never repeated.

That right there is why my "no move to zone" had a southern line about halfway between I10 and I40 in the SW. That line connected to the Tornado prone area near the panhandle that were also also a "no move to zone".

 

I think it was 2 TIRE LOADS, in 80+ Fare-n-Height Outside HEAT (close to 95+ inside Dry Van 53' Trailer with goofy upper walls vents that did much of nuttin' honey), in the first Decade O.T.R. ('98 to '08), where I helped "bounce the Tires out" and there were ZERO more.

It looked like he was East Bound on US33 (the road that crosses I-15 there) from Mud Lake, and took the turn into the port a shade too hot. Funny thing is that the pup was still upright, but truck and lead trailer were both laid over. Looked to be a gold or silver Cascadia.

 

@Cattleman84 Have you ever seen the old original pore mans dump truck from the 40's
Imagine: Cab and chassis of a 40's model Ford (Now be F600) truck.
U bolt oak 4 x 8"s to fame top; cab back to length you want, say 10 feet.
Mortise in (1" deep) 4 x 6 x 72" oak cross pieces, every 2 feet apart on these. Start at back....
On the first cross piece(near cab), fasten two stake cuff pockets to its front(cab) side.
Now you have a base frame work of 10' by 6' wide.

Hand lay a loose floor of oak 2 x 4" x 12 feet to floor this (loose-close). (Take about 18 of them,)
Using the old heavy barn door type (square base/strap extended hinges),lag screw the base (plate) of a hinge to
end of each cross piece. Flip the straps over on to the top of cross pieces.
Place a 2' by 10' or 12' oak plank on top of these hinge straps. Measure/locate, calculate hinging upward and clearing the 2x4"
and floor, then drill for 1/4in carriage bolts to affix to the hinges. Repeat on the other side and you have sideboards.
Attach with 1/4" carriage bolts, 2 of 2x4 x12" (stakes-pocket fitted) to a 2x10" or 12" x 72" oak plank for a front headboard.
Now you have a frame, with a floor or 2/4's and sideboards and a headboard.
Now the personalization:
With the front staked in, and sideboards pulled up, and a patient kid...
Pull the 1st 2x4 in floor on one side out a foot. With the patient kid (me then) standing on that piece in the truck, you proceed to
fashion a taper with a draw knife to fit your personal comfortable grip. Repeat with all across.
Obtain enough 1/4" log chain to fashion 3 cross chains, to secure the side boards from bulging. Cut chains into 3 lengths of 7 feet.
cut these into halves and put a grab/clevis hook on on end, Bolt each piece to sideboard, front, center, and rear.
So, load it with dirt and piled as highs as the old truck will carry, drive to and straddle the spot you want it.
Unhook the chains, let sides flop down, then wiggle and jerk the 2x4 floor board loose on at a time. Dirt will self unload.

 

Highly skilled operator to keep the pup on a B train rubber down.
