Schneider school questions.

Gosh, that is such a terrible philosophy to have at all, and my guess is one of the reasons why this labor pool is taken so advantage of at the bottom of the ladder. I wonder if they use that philosophy with human trafficking victims. It's the old, "back in my day we walked both ways uphill to school" philosophy. Cause it sucked for one group of people, and they had to do it, then everyone should have to do it. That seems to be the general philosohpy in this industry instead of, "hey, lets use better means to make sure folks don't have to walk both ways uphill to school, because we learned from our own experience how to make it better." Maybe that's what school is for to begin with.

Then why are you defending them???? If you have any doubts, see your comments of: "A lot of companies are worse, from what I've heard." That's a terrible defensive stance and one that someone that doesn't know how to critically think would fall for.

Then I am not even sure why you are adding your defensive opinion into the argument when someone took the time out to give their honest experience and tried warning other drivers of this bait and switch tactic.

Not really sure how you can still hold this position when someone just said they rip people off. But to each his own. Sounds like you just want to add your opinion anyway when it defies the information presented. If they can't be trusted, and someone is clearly explaining BEWARE, and then you are stating, "I can see how it would make sense for someone to go there..." it is an oxymoron.

Lots of things were a good choice once upon a time. Why not go do your homework like I have on this company for the CURRENT times, and then add an informed opinion on the subject rather than an ignorant one. Ignorance = lack of knowledge or information.

Really???? A company that makes offers of thousands of dollars, getting you scheduled to start, and then reneging is not as bad as it gets? Good grief.

LMAO...then result to character assassinating when someone presents the truth to you. Sorry I don't kiss butt to bad and misinformed information. I will be a good fit to anyone that respects truth, honesty, accountability, and transparency. But thanks for your opinions even though they aren't warranted or correct.

 

If you do happen to come across a training company that better suits the needs of this new generation of drivers everywhere, DO PLEASE inform me. I'm always on the lookout for good information to give people.

I don't mean to resort to ad hominem attacks, but I feel it's a pressing issue in your case.

I'm not exactly giving a glowing view of Schneider...I don't work there, and haven't in 15 years. They can't afford me, and I don't like the way they conduct business, so I'm not there.

But it COULD be a good way to get trained and accrue experience that you can trade in at a better company down the road.

 

I'm not sure what happened to the person you were responding to but I just finished the CAT program (passed my test on Tuesday) and I feel like I've had a positive experience. I was in a shortened class (only 1 week with the TE) so my entire school was 3 weeks & 1 day.

I didn't have any issues with my recruiter pulling a bait & switch. Maybe that will happen once I start actually working but the offer letter I received is the same as I was told on the phone.

I have no idea what the training is like anywhere else. The main reason I went with them is that they were willing to train my wife & I together. We were with the same TE but my wife would have been fine being alone since our TE didn't do OTR (only 1 student in our class had to stay in the truck with his TE).

I'm glad I've been paid the past 3 weeks and been fed for 2 of them. I'm glad I have my CDL. I'm glad I have a job where I can use my CDL.

 

I'm in Indy. My wife just passed her test so we are packing up. We were with our TE in Ohio (the week we weren't fed).

Where are you doing your training at?

 

Just an FYI, if you are going to use big words, use them correctly. Little and tirade used together is an oxymoron.

Also, there was no "anger" in my emotions or anything I said. Must be the filters you run things through while minimizing folks when they don't agree with your opinions. I am direct and honest when I speak. Some folks take that the wrong way instead of appreciating honesty. My guess is because they utilize emotions and feelings rather than cold hard facts or truth.

Judging someone as hopeless and saying they won't fit in anywhere because they don't agree with you & because they are direct with you, is speaking in absolutes and a way to minimize and gaslight someone.
