Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

From June 22nd to July 20th.
16801 miles all in on 10 loads. (3)300+ mile deadheads, and an 1150 mile deadhead for a family emergency.

$46375. I haven't added fuel up, but we'll call it $16k.

 

I had a hard time finding anything worthwhile for a step deck south of St. Louis yesterday. To a point that I called TQL (I’m still shaking) on a tarped machinery load. Than driving east thru Tennessee I’ve seen so many open decks heading empty in both directions. Same story with empty flatbeds on every truck stop I stopped at.

Any more dry van drivers wanna hoop into open deck? Seems like we’re having fun here already.

I’m seeing a lot of 4500 to 6000 revenue weeks here on TTR lately and that it’s “good”. Between fuel costs and inflationary costs im wondering if 2016 to 2019 revenue is getting the job done in the long term?

There is no way I could run a high level esteemed outfit at those numbers. What’s the real story out there friends?
