When I was OTR, I used to love pulling the air horn driving by golf courses. I’d wait until the slight pause when the golfer has the club all the way back and just started their forward motion.

There’s a gigantic golf course down by Walmart headquarters in Arkansas. There are so many trucks driving past it’s impossible to put it on one. That was my favorite.

Got a canned message from Mr. Kutter this morning thanking me for working there and inviting me back if things don't work out here....yeah right, like I would ever set foot on an Acklie property again... wouldn't if Tonn, Eric, or Tim (the VP of propaganda, who looks to me to be the human version of Homer Simpson) were running across the parking lot with their hair on fire and shooting bundles of $100 bills out their butt.

They really got a big set to even contact you after everything you have been through with them.

What a difference a new company makes. At Shaffer, I probably would have had several dozen reminder messages, updated hours used (daily), the weekly safety tip of the day...and who knows what other b.s. on the Peoplenet. Since I signed on to this company's Peoplenet last Thursday, you know how many messages I've had? 5. That's right, 5. And most of them were specifics for my load. We all had a couple fleet messages, 1 about reminding everyone to certify logs daily...then 1 on Friday thanking us for getting our uncertified logs down to 126... that's it. In fact, in orientation they said DON'T use the Peoplenet to message anyone...call on the phone. Peoplenet is for load info, workflow, logs and inspections.... that's it. None of this back and forth bullcrap with the office that goes on at Creaffer.

You mean you didn’t explain to them the value of “recruit! recruit!” messages?
