Been a while...I've been meaning to post this since I didn't want to relive the nightmares that I had there for the two months or so that I worked there....There was a lot of bad there...I'll try and post what I can here and if I remember other stuff I'll post it later....
-Justin the owner's son does a little bit of everything...He sets up a lot of the loads...He could care less what hours you are running...He constantly books hours that screws your hours up...I'd run nights for 2 or 3 days and then be right back to days for a few days, then back to nights, etc....It was so bad trying to stay awake that I was having trouble going through curves on 70mph highways that I had to slow down to like 40-45 mph to stay on the road....When I asked him to lighten up with the dispatch he sat me for 2 days in LA....I never got paid for those layover days...he told his Mom the pay lady not to pay me because I was "tired"....I ended up getting food poisoning while in LA and they dispatched me while I was sick...i went to a customer where it took like 13 hours to load...I was running to the bathroom constantly and throwing up out my truck door...No one asked or cared how I was doing with my food poisoning and I never got any detention pay....The reason for no detention pay there was because I was sick he told his Mom.
-I was told when I got hired that I would be at .57 per mile...I know this because I wrote all of Justin's answers from our phone conversations on paper...Well I was only getting paid .54 per mile....When I asked him about it he got all mad, started yelling and denied it....
- there were all kinds of things I didn't get paid for as well such as detention, layovers, and cpm...I was shorted around $1,000 in my first three checks....
- they will only pay you very low price matches for things you buy OTR like wiper fluid, coolant, etc...I think wiper fluid was $3.50 and coolant, was $11.00....Def was $9.00 I believe...that means if you buy any of that it has to be at Walmart or somewhere like that...They won't pay you truckstop prices.
- You are expected to run a minimum of 650 miles per day...trucks are set at 72 cruise and 68 pedal..He lied and told me 72 ...never said anything about the pedal....Also you will take tight 10s or you will be hearing from Justin/dispatch that it's time to get rolling....When you take a 10 he says that's more than enough time for you to get rest and do whatever else you have to do....
- You will run a lot because they run produce they can do it off the DOT clock...so when it's time for you to take a 34 you may not get it because the AG exempt wipes that out.
- They only paid me $250 travel expenses to drive myself with a car rental and hotels from FL to MN...When I left they took it back out of my last pay check...They also subtracted another $200 for an "exit fee"...Mind you I left their truck perfectly spotless..
- One time I had a morning delivery in San Diego...Well parking as you might know is real tough there so I parked out about an hour away,,,,Justin wanted to know the next day why i didn't drive and park at the customer...He said you still had time on your clock...That's when I informed him I didn't want to unload on my 10 hour...Basically you are not the driver of your truck...You are merely a puppet and steering wheel holder to do what Justin wants you to do...He books the loads so tight you will barely have any personal time for eating, sleeping, showering, etc etc etc....I was averaging a shower maybe every other day because that's all I had time for.
- Justin also told me over the phone that they don't go to the northeast...I had a load right around the DC area.
Like I said there was a lot of bad...I'm pretty sure there's more stuff that I can't think of...If it comes to my memory I'll post it.

Oh yes I remember another...he basically told me just let him know when I want to go home...So I was up in the MN area (that's where they are based out of) and let him know that I wanted to take my home time in upstate NY....Well he sent me down to Alabama on a run with the idea they would bring me back up to MN and then my home time...Well when I got back to MN they dispatched me to Phoenix instead...When I asked the girl in dispatch what's going on she really didn't know....I said I was supposed to be going to home time in NY...Well she checked with Justin and she told me they'd bring back to MN after the Phoenix run...Well that turned out to be a lie as they ended up putting me on a run to San Diego from Phoenix...And then that's where he sat me for two days in LA afterwards.

We don't do northeast at all, but we do have a customer in PA. We still tell everyone no northeast, the farthest we go is PA, and we have volunteers for that who actually like doing it.
If we did DC, I'd still tell everyone no northeast.bryan21384, Another Canadian driver, Judge and 4 others Thank this. -
Their csa numbers are superb… i’m beginning to suspect that many drivers coming into the industry based on the several that I’ve personally run across that cannot stand working more than seven hours a day..

I had a girl worked for me one time pulling a hopper, twisted her ankle under load and couldn’t drive so I sent another driver to get the truck and deliver the load. Illinois red lighted him and pulled him around back. The weigh master comes out and spots “blue thunder” layin on the dash immediately. How the guy missed it idk. And as hard as he tried to convince the weigh master it wasn’t his he was told none my bidness but that little lady toy did get us out of an inspection so it was a win.
