Well the recruiter from Linde called me today and pretty much read all the information about the job from the screen. She wasn't sure about the exact start time that I would have or the days off. Maybe afternoon shift or maybe night shift..... No specific information on what areas they deliver to either. Very vague if you ask me...

She asked me some questions regarding my experience plus previous jobs and will pass all the information to the plant manager. If he's interested then he will give me a call to schedule for an interview at the plant.

She did say that there would be 4 weeks of training for which they pay $32 per hour.

What I really want to know is if they deliver to NYC. That's the biggest deal breaker for me. 4 wheelers over there are insane and not afraid of big trucks at all.

Is the camera inside the truck recording 24/7 or only when something happens while driving? Do they leave drivers alone as long as they do their job or constantly micromanaging?

    The cameras are always recording..
But will only capture an event that triggers the set parameters. We are pretty much left alone unless you screw up.

Of course they deliver NYC. If you're plant is responsible for the city you'll deliver there.
It's rare you'll do the same run twice in a week though. It is the same as any metropolis.
Plan and execute while remaining cautious.
Never rush or let someone else influence your decisions while operating the truck.

    @Fuelinmyveins, @Dennixx --

    Basically, the same thing here.

I have avoided applying for ALL cryo driving job opportunities in the northern half of GA, or southeastern TN--because I'm sure a certain percentage of my deliveries would be in the greater Atlanta metro area (bleccccchhh!!!).

Been there, done that already.

    No thank you.

    It's truck driving..
Sometimes you drive where it's hot, sometimes you drive where it's cold, sometimes you drive where it rains and sometimes to where it snows. sometimes you drive-in the mountains sometimes you drive-in the desert.
Sometimes you drive in cities w millions of people, sometimes you drive-in a remote town with nobody around.
That's what keeps it interesting and challenging for me.

Multiple start times, 1100, 1500, 0030, 0200 all with consecutive weekdays off (Mon/Tues Tues/Wed Wed/Thurs etc.) They are a 24/7 operation and they provide an incentive for working the weekends, $330-$480 extra a week depending on your hours I believe it was. They do pay weekly , which is nice.

    Combo
    Combo.
Within 75 miles it's hourly and road runs are mileage w on duty paid hourly.
Last contract we got a clause put in that if on a road run we can turn it to hourly if delayed by construction, traffic or weather and can't maintain 57mph average, which is our hourly rate conversion.
